 Dear Neighbors,

I am honored to now be a St. Helena’s City Council Member Elect. I am ready to tackle our town’s urgent issues—finance and water—and work collaboratively with residents and stakeholders to develop and implement a long-term vision for a strong, thriving community.

St. Helena is a great place to live. My family and I enjoy hiking and biking the scenic trails, participating in local activities and events, and taking advantage of the wonderful dining options our town has to offer. I believe we need to honor and protect our community's rich culture and traditions while advancing innovative policies and sustainable practices. My goal is to ensure we cherish our past and unique set of assets as we embrace future opportunities, fostering economic growth, social advancement, and environmental stewardship for a thriving, balanced community.

I welcome the opportunity to hear your thoughts, learn from your experiences, and engage with you as we work together to move St. Helena forward!

Sincerely,

Michelle Deasy

    Background

Professionally, I am the Executive Director of a national nonprofit in the education and workforce space. My career includes economic development research, grant writing, and corporate roles at companies like Bank of America and Oracle. I hold degrees from Cornell University and UC Berkeley and have held leadership and volunteer positions in both local organizations and nonprofits in the Bay Area and beyond.  These experiences have equipped me with the skills to understand diverse perspectives, read financial statements, think strategically about complex issues, and drive impactful change.  More detail can be found on the BIO page of this website. I have also provided my thoughts on the town's key ISSUES.
